Oral Health Assessment Tool (OHAT)

The Oral Health Assessment Tool (OHAT) covers the patient’s current oral health status, including factors which can contribute to the risk of oral disease and indicate the need for referral. It is a modification of the Brief Oral Health Status Examination (BOHSE). Click here to assess the tool.

Purpose: for screening purposes only, and does not replace the need for regular examinations by a dentist.

Time to administer: 10 min approx.

Ease of use: User friendly

Administrator: Doctors, nurse, nursing aide (non-dentally trained personnels) can undergo basic instructions and training.

Equipments: Basic hand held torch, basic mouth mirror, OHAT form and pen, gloves, mask.
